Pre-school Program for 3-5 year Olds (P1 & P2)
In a safe and friendly atmosphere, qualified teachers lovingly stimulate the talents and interests of our youngest students.
While play is signified as the central and natural medium of learning and consolidation of types of learning, the focus of the pre-school program is the development of necessary skills of the early years. Our pre-school curriculum provides fun learning activities for the development of language skills, math and logical skills, motor and fine skills, social, and musical skills. The Curriculum of the pre-school program is built in a manner to provide the Early Learners with team spirit, social experience, the exercise of initiative and making choices, practice of hands-on activities and understanding of the world around them. In addition to a welcoming classroom environment, children are offered a friendly school playground and a sports gym. Morning and afternoon snacks are offered by the school’s cafeteria.
Reception Year for 5-6 year olds
The Reception Class, offered to 5 year-olds, is an ideal transition between the pre-school and elementary school years. (This program is the equivalent of year 1 in the British schooling system and K in the American system). While developing the students’ communication skills in English, the program provides a more structured instruction in basic reading and writing, math, science and social studies, preparing the young students for entering elementary school. As a part of their curriculum, these young learners also participate in physical education, music, arts and drama classes. Character education forms an important part of the preparation program. Students learn about values such as kindness, helpfulness, truthfulness and joyfulness. They practice social behavior, working together, resolving conflict, making friends and keeping safe. Developing a healthy sense of self, assertiveness, making choices and decisions are further skills that our Reception students develop. The students are provided the use of friendly classrooms, playground, the school’s gym , cafeteria, library and the various premises and programs offered during and after school.
